Ricky Williams is a interesting story
I just saw the ESPN/Levi's 30 for 30 documentary, "Run Ricky Run." Ricky Williams is a great case study in how eastern and western spirituality and psychology helped an American athlete deal with avoidance, narcissism and other people's judgemental negativity to gain balance, individuality, acceptance. Dude has had to go through … more

A violent song about Manic Paranoia on top 40 radio?

It's kind of wierd to see such a song get played on top 40 stations over and over. It's a very well thought out, cinematic, character driven story intended to be a concept song about manic depressive paranoia. Scareface raps about how his character can't sleep at night and keeps having anxiety attacks. Later we find out that his life has a dealer … more

It was hard for me to admit I liked this one. I like the attitude that Everlast brings as he rides Muggs' and DJ Lethal's swirling, hard hitting, versatile fast track. I think it lost favor with me because it gets played so many goddammed times. It's good and it changed what kind of tracks got played on the radio. People can dance to it. You can work … more

Read a bit of this piece of trash who's head line reads,"Kobe blurb in Nike ads alludes to gun 'chamber'." I thought he might be dissing Gilbert Arenas who earlier in the week got suspended for being an idiot (he brought guns into his place of employment and gave the case to someone else to put in his car, but they just left it somewhere... … more

This passage is, in my opinion, one of the greatest passages I've heard in the little bit of English oratory history that I know. I grew up watching a few Carl Sagan documentaries. These are my favorite sentences from the piece: "That's here. That's home. That's us. On it everyone you love, everyone you know, everyone you ever heard of, … more

If only these were a bit cheaper. Coconut water is good and if these were sold in their natural package they'd be better

Biz Markie the the best entertainer since James Brown. This is the quintessential Biz Goin' Off. Fun rap.

How many people go this memorized by osmosis? It's fly and sly how they got this on the radio. Treach's pace & the rhyme structure are dope.

My favorite Radio Raps (13)

I hate what gets played on the radio. As the conspiracy theory goes, I believe it's been hijacked by evil corporations that want us to like wack music. But once in a while a great rap gets on the radio and most of the time it will catch on and change the game for a bit
