The second #1 for the Doobs written with Kenny Login's it became one of they're most famous songs. A far cry from their days in Hell's Angels bars too.
One of the all time great songs of the 60's or any era. That opening riff played by Ray Manazrek is so classic. And Mr. Morrison really could sing the heck out of that one.

I love this band. Growing up on Miami Beach of course ther were very popular. They were in my very new cassette deck in my car when I commuted t the U. of Miami. 1978.
I have to like the song. My wife listened to it all the time when we where dating. She like it so much she named our oldest girl after it. She will be 30 in a few months. Can I really be that old???
