Although comic books have been evolving for years, I really think it was the publication of WATCHMEN which proved to general audiences that the medium could have narratives worthy of effective literature. … more
I just finished this book and this is one of the absolute best pieces of literature I've completed, regardless of the medium. The best strengths The Watchmen has going for it are that it … more
I'm a firm believer in that you shouldn't review something if you don't know the full story (or at least the background), like a person who doesn't play video games reviewing a video game … more

The guy hasn't written that many books I read, but the three I did read; Watchmen, V for Vendetta, and the Killing Joke can probably make it into my top 10 of favorite graphic novels, at the very least … more

All I know about WATCHMEN I learned from the movies. I'd never read the graphic novel…I'd never heard of it, in fact, until buzz about the movie started. So I cannot comment on the faithfulness … more
Alan Moore is a great writer. He's writing is in-depth. His characters are fully developed and his dialogue witty and interesting. He's revived entire companies, as well as certain titles. He's … more

If I was trapped in an island, this is one of the books I would take with me. It takes into question moral ethics, the role of vigilantes in society, and cold war. Accompanied by beautiful illustrations, … more
Not a big fan, but never really followed comic books until being tricked into reading this. The story just seemed too outrageous and concluded terribly
Watchmen was fantastic. It is different than any other superhero story, because it isn't the typical rescue/crime-fighting stories. Watchmen is thought provoking, and is a great story. Read it.
