"Beat" means a bum deal, an unfortunate situation, or just a FAIL. This is a place to share those things... because they can be amusing too! When you are out and you see something beat... take a photo and share it here.
The Hooters girls look good and the food is decent, though I think the wings are a tad too greasy for me to handle. Hooters is an okay place to dine out, though while Titled Kilt is a little more expensive, you get much better food and hotter ladies serving you.

Rush Limbaugh is nothing more than an oxycodone-guzzling windbag with a radio slot and uses it just to annoy and offend people. Now I'm not one of these guys pushing for political correctness in entertainment (I despise PC enterertainment a lot), but the fact that Rush isn't the least bit entertaining is what turns a potentially amusing conservative media personality into an … more
This movie is the GREATEST vampire epic EVER! It has everything--a great looking female lead, romance, action and even drama. People should go out and buy the movies since they are now either $4 or $ 5 in BBuy! I mean, movies like this come once in a lifetime. This is better than Star Wars, anything Tarantino has made, Lord of the Rings, anything Ridley Scott has made or Spielberg for that matter, … more

It's TV shows like this that sometimes make me loathe humanity if shit like this is popular. All this show consists of is a bunch of entitled 20 somethings of Italian descent with forcibly-tanned skin that only care abouit partying and getting laid. If I were of Italian heritage, I'd smack somebody if they associated me with these piles of garbage. Also, the fact that they associate each other as … more
People need to lighten up. First, the show "Playboy Club" was banned from NBC, now just an ice cream flavor inspired by SNL's skit? C'mon, it does not make sense, I am personally going to request a case of this flavor just to make a statement that no one has the right to decide what I want to eat or not, and buy or not. I am curious how this flavor tastes like. … more
My sister lives in New York City and was stuck waiting out this sucker. She's okay though, and I guess the one good thing you could say about Irene is that the damages was ultimately considerably less than expected. Irene was reduced to tropical storm status when it hit the northeast, but still did over a billion dollars worth of damage in New York City and various points upstate, not even including … more
Even though NY wasn't pounded as bad as other places, we got our licks pretty good. It was something else stepping out of my building and seeing the streets completely deserted. It felt so apocalyptic I started laughing out loud in the rain. I mean I never saw the Bronx that dead before. In the end, my basements were flooded, my boiler was pretty much shot, and the repairs costed nearly $5000. … more
Late last week, Hurricane Irene plowed through the Carolinas and along the East Coast through New Jersey, New York City , Connecticut, other parts of New England and Canada. The storm was a Category 1 hurricane with winds approaching 90 MPH. The most dangerous portions of the storm were the many flood surges of rising water which leveled small communities … more
Over a million passengers are affected by Irene. 3 airports in NYC & Philadelphia & Boston airports are closed until the tropical storm (downgraded from hurricane) is over. So, if you are in the Eastern coast of U.S., you are not going anywhere for the next 2 days or so!
CNN reports flooding in NY City including the subway. The financial damage? At least a billion or so! So far, not too many fatalities so that's good news (if any news could be called good in the case of a hurricane!). Let's pray things won't get worse from here! Stay safe, Americans!
We felt it all the way up here in Bronx NY. I didn't know what the hell was going on when I saw my cabinets shaking and stuff moving. I have a feeling this is only the beginning. I really hope I'm wrong.
After searching for a diet I can actually follow (and afford) in order to lose a few pounds, I decided on one in which I would be limiting my carb intake and following a "no sugar" regime. I love sweetened iced tea and have a weakness for Hershey's chocolate milk, so I knew this would be hard for me. I had no problem watching out for the bad carbs, but banning all sugar was … more
"This looks like a job for..." It looks like a job for Elmo, not Superman. Okay, I realize that it is essential to teach children potty training and bathroom etiquette, but still this is just the kind of ridiculous commercialization of comic book characters that makes me flaming mad! Not only does it render classic characters as silly cartoony stereotypes, … more
Shes been compared to Angelina Jolie and thats a mistake. Angelina has some talent in acting. Shes as vapid as the next Hollywood bombshell like Jessica Alba, except Jessica has some genuine beauty to her. She had sporadic acting work before being given a breakout role in Hollywood in Transformers and after starting to get steady work, including … more

Jokes aside, I just heard in the news last night that an old man tried to euthanize his own pets to prepare for the apocalypse....saying that he didn't want them to suffer the trials and tribulations. Thankfully, the animal control and sheriff's dept. were able to take the animals away from him. Ok, now this is disturbing, some people are actually taking this prophecy … more
