My mom recently moved into a community which uses Consolidated Smart Systems as their TV and internet service provider. The property manager told us this was a good thing because she would have one contact who would take care of everything related to DirecTV OR internet issues. We were misled...

Less than two months into the service, my mom has experienced the following from Consolidated Smart Systems:
- Three distinct DirecTV outages, all requiring a technician to come out to fix, and at least a 3 day lead time before someone could come to fix it.
- An improper initial install done by a "sales rep" who we later discovered was not supposed to do installs.
- An $80 "annual service contract" fee above and beyond the monthly fees from DirecTV and the internet provider
- "New Customer" deals such as free installation and free HD DVR upgrades were not honored by Consolidated Smart Systems
- During one of the repair visits following a DirecTV outage, the "technician" berated my mom for "screwing with the cables" and said the outage was her fault, when she hadn't touched a thing.
A quick search on Google revealed several similar complaints. When looking for a place to live in the future, I would be very wary of any place which uses Consolidated Smart Systems as their contractor.

good heads up Andrew. I don't trust these guys who just act as a middle man and are supposed so save us time and money. thanks for sharing it. what city are these guys are in?
