Should be called "light"... not "super premium"

  • Jun 20, 2010

What a buzzkill.  I just got home from Whole Foods after paying almost $5 for a pint of this vanilla bean ice cream. The cute cows on the container and the huge "i'm organic" sucked me in.  I was expecting something delicious!  Instead, I got a weak tasting vanilla flavor and the consistency wasn't even rich or creamy... It was airy and icy like those low fat "light" ice creams.  Even the peanut butter cookies i bought to go with it couldn't save this weak frozen dairy dessert.

Pass on this unless you want to feel like you're eating flavorless low fat ice cream.  I'm actually a little offended that Whole Foods even carries this.  I should have stuck with the frozen dessert that NEVER disappoints.

Thank you for purchasing our ice cream. It sounds like you purchased a bad batch. Our ice cream has a whopping 17% butterfat so it should be rich and creamy and not at all icy. We apologize for this unfortunate incident. If you are willing to give us another shot, i'd be happy to send you a free product voucher so you may redeem for a new container of ice cream? Just need your mailing address. Can you also tell me which WFM you purchased it at? We need to let them know they have some bad ice cream on the shelf. If you can also tell me what the sell by date is on the bottom lip of the container that would be great, so we can have our quality control team look into it. We hope to hear from you.
Kind Regards,
