HBTM not only was a very slick if not classic horror film but a very well-acted one if we must put it on the shelf with other films around that time. (Over the years, it has become something of a cult item & probability suggests it's only a matter of time before Hollywood gets the hair-brained idea to modify the story & bequeath yet another useless remake.) I daresay we'd all be hard-pressed to find another one which manages to hold up as well after repeated …

You'll want to blow out the candles of the mediocre horror film.
Ginny (Melissa Sue Anderson) is a cranium enhanced teenage girl who has joined a clique of popular "high school" students (the average age of the actors is over 20).  Ginny, unbeknown to her friends is full of secrets and sometimes has a hard time dealing with reality and some monster headaches that not even Excedrin can relieve.  Her 18th birthday is coming and she wants all of her "friends" to be there.  But some mysterious stranger in black is quickly dispatching …
