I've always been a bit of a mythology nut, so CAMELOT is right up my alley. However, I've never been all that informed on the legends of King Arthur, though I've done some modest reading of it. Starz Channel Original Series CAMELOT seems to be modestly grounded in what little I know of the Arthurian myths -- perhaps playing more than a bit fast and loose with the character of Merlin -- but I'm certainly willing to hang with the show to see where it's all heading. The casting is fairly solid -- though I'll admit that Arthur looks a bit meek for my tastes as a 'king' -- and the writing is crisp. As a period piece, it'll face an uphill challenge, I suspect, but it's one I'm willing to explore.
