I grew up in the 90s with the original Batman Animated Series and was reluctant to pay too much attention to this after watching that crappy "The Batman" series that came out after Batman Begins. However, after seeing a handful of episodes of this with my kid I gotta say, it's not too bad. Some will say the only good batman stuff is where he is dark and brooding and sometimes only teams up with children that live with him for some reason but this series has him written in a different light and it works out to be a pretty entertaining show. Batman in this has more of the 60's look going for him as far as his costume and general style goes but without as much of the camp. He's still a great detective and combatant and has all the toys, but is a little more light-hearted and one-liner spewing and *gasp* teams up with different DC universe heroes in each episode. The series is clearly aimed at kids, but it's not horrible to watch along with them, also I've purchased the kid a few of the associated toys for this series and they proven to be fun and durable enough for a three-year-old; capes and all.
Batman and his crew rollin' deep.
