Outside of my mother, no one got me more interested in reading than LeVar Burton! If I ever get to meet him, I'm going to give that guy a hug!

I loved Reading Rainbow and was lucky enough to meet LeVar Burton, he's a friend of a friend. I thanked him for getting me into reading and he was way cool, saying no, thanks for watching and I'm glad I could help.

I remember watching this show with my great grandmother. I always enjoyed the time we spent with each other watching this and Carmen Sandiego. The show was very effective at encouraging children to read. I read so much as a kid that the teachers had to tell me to stop.

As an adult, I love the concept of this show, but I never actually liked it as a kid! Sad my future children wouldn't be catching it though.
