The Amazing Race is a reality game show on CBS in which teams of two race around the world competing in different challenges against other teams. Teams appearing on the show have pre-existing relationships and have included, sisters, cousins, and parents with children. Throughout the competition, contestants travel to and within multiple countries in a variety of transportation modes, including planes, taxis, rental cars, trains, boats, buses and even wild animals. During each leg of the race, teams battle to arrive at "pit stops", where they have the opportunity to win prizes and avoid elimination or a disadvantage in a following competition. Competitors are given clues during each leg, requiring them to perform tasks and help them advance in the race. Teams are eliminated throughout the competition until three remain. From there, the final teams battle to the finish line to be awarded with a $1 million dollar grand prize.
