I have seen the first two episodes of this fourth season and it I have great enthusiasm already for what is to come! When we last left Sookie she was upset by learning that Bill used her and decided to join her Fairy brethren in "Fairyland." Sookie is not there too long and finds it is no all she thought it to be. She has to make a daring escape to return to Bon Temps.
Sookie discovers that though she was away only a few hours, more than a year has passed in the "real" world. In fact, everyone thought Bill had killed her. A lot has changed. Sookie's house has been sold to a mysterious corporation, Bill is now the King of Louisianna, Andy is addicted to V, Jason is a full-fledged deputy, Sam has taken up with a group of Shape Shifters, Tara is living with a girlfriend in New Orleans, and Lafayette has been introduced to a coven of witches (he also has a new sleek do).
A lot happens in those first two episodes including Floyd and Jessica having their differences, learning that the new baby may be the second coming of Damian from "The Omen" and the secret vampire society is trying their hardest help vampires be accepted as normal citizens. Then we have Sheriff Eric who has new plans for Sookie. Only two episodes in and Eric is grudgingly accepting orders from King Bill and later is sent on a mission where he meets his match from something that seems to have changed him drastically. Lastly, the Panther clan have some secret plans for Jason.
I cannot wait for next week and I am lucky to suscribe to a cable service that has early premieres for the show so I am getting the new episodes a week early. The writers have done their best to already introduce a number of intriguing story lines so far and we still have not seen werewolves yet but I am sure they will be along as Sookie's werewolf friend has been signed on for this season of the show.
