Truly an inspiring read that never gets boring

  • May 22, 2010
This book is wonderful for those who seek inspiration in their lives, regardless of whether you are a Michael Jackson fan or not.  I bought this book, which was reprinted after his death, and was amazed at his insights, thoughts, reflections and common sense on the subjects of everyday living.  His thoughts are intimate and deep, and I found them to be profound.  The book itself is beautiful with photos and drawings, and I find when I feel down or lost, picking it up and reading seems to have a calming effect on me. Michael inspired the world through his music and talent, and this book just adds to the world of how much of a genius he was, yet still has the innocence that was Michael.  I would recommend this read to anyone who is a fan, to those who need some inspiration, or to anyone who just needs to think about the simple things in life that we all seem to take for granted.  I did not find anything negative about this book - it has actually made me gain respect for a musical genius who only wanted to help others regardless of what personal trauma he went through.

About this book

Originally published in 1992, this book was reprinted with comments from celebrities such as Elizabeth Taylor and other true friends who knew him well, in 2009 after his death.  This book was in such high demand that it was going for well over 100.00 per copy, and more for the collector's edition.  I found mine on Amazon as a used reprint in excellent condition, and is part of my collection of books that has much meaning to me.  I bought it for myself as my birthday gift - the best gift I gave myself for a long time!  Many illustrations of Michael in action on stage, with children, and the photos and pages are of wonderful quality on silky paper that will stand the test of time in my library.
