I live in Virginia where it can get hot and humid. I keep the AC set at 76 degrees to save on the electric bill, especially with this summer’s unusually high temperatures. Sometimes it just isn’t cool enough; however, if I run a fan it makes a room very comfortable. I saw the “Lasko model 4820 48" XTRA AIR TOWER FAN WITH FRESH-AIR-IONIZER” at my local Sam’s club for under $50.00. I decided to take a chance on it. WOW, it has been one of the best purchases I have made in years!!!

Some of the features I love about this fan. It is 48” tall providing a very large movement of air. It has three different speeds; I only use the lowest speed because it is more than adequate to cool down the room! At all speeds the fan is quieter than any of the blade and cage oscillating fans I have ever used. It has a fresh air ionizer that one can choose to use. It has a three stage timer for energy efficiency at 2, 4, and 8 hour settings. You can choose to use it in a stationary position, or have it oscillate. It comes with a handy and easy to use remote control that will access all the features of the fan. The other advantage I see with a tower fan is the sleek profile which does not take up allot of floor space.

This is a great fan that will cool down a room while saving on your energy bill. Don’t let its slender look fool you; you will be truly amazed by this fan’s capabilities.
