When my wife and I seen this in Toys R Us, we just fell in love with it. We just knew that our granddaughter would love it. This was only $18.00 on sale. This has all the new technology in a toy that will scare the dickens out of you. We have been looking for a toy that will help our granddaughter learn the ways of the computer age. From using the large keypad to talking to a mechanical device, this might scare the heck out of some kids. But, if your grandchild are as inquisitive as ours is, then this is the toy for them.

Description
This toy will take 3 additional "AA" a batteries that come included with the toy. However, the batteries that come with this toy, will probably not last that long. This is approximately 8” in height (when opened) and only weights about 2 pounds. When you first start this up, you will get a light show, the brain inside of this laptop will light up to different colors. The screen on the face of the top will flash a different letter or number when they are pressed. The will also light up and talk in two different languages (Spanish and English). The actual brain is incased in a hard plastic case, and there are lights that will light up and move as it talks. This also has a very large numbered keypad that is made into the base of the laptop, this way your child will not lose the keypad.

Features
There are several features on this toy that are very nice, and they are a large raised keypad that comes equipped with a LCD screen. This laugh and learn is made of brightly colored plastic (green, orange, and blue) which will stimulate their seeing senses. There is also a nice blue plastic swing handle to let them carry this around the house. This also acts as a digital lights when the buttons are pressed, it will tell you the shape and letters that you press. This also has an integrated speaker which will allow you to an automated voice which speaks clearly. You can also switch this to learn numbers and shapes in Spanish and English. This is made of a very durable hardened plastic, this also cleans up very easy to clean up with a damp cloth.

Experience
Our granddaughter has had hours of fun listening to the voice that comes out when she presses the shapes and numbers. Even though this is kind of simple this is still fun to watch our granddaughter to use. While the brain is talking the lines that make up the numbers and letters will move up and down on the LCD screen. There is sort of a high pitch voice that comes out of this and will make your granddaughter laugh. It says on the box that they recommend that your child be at least 6 months to 3 years old to use this, but don’t worry about their age, I think that they will all enjoy this no matter how old they are. This was a little tough for our grandchildren to try to learn this in the beginning, but after learning this, it was all downhill from there. Once we saw that our grandchildren can learn to match the number that we tell them to press, the brain inside will tell your children what they have pressed. There is over 12 or more songs that this plays, these are not the regular songs that I knew as I was growing up but the kids do enjoy the music. We also had to remind our granddaughter not to take this outside or it could be damaged. If you were to get sand or water in this, it will not operate properly. All of the batteries will be located in the bottom of the base. As usual, you will need a Philips head screwdriver to open the little compartment that holds the batteries. We also found that it was very nice that they located them out of reach of little fingers. There are times that Brian will freeze up, and if that happens then all you have to do is press the on/off switch. This also has a convenient power/volume switch for the times that you may need some peace and quiet. Along with the 9 number buttons this also has an mouse that your child can hit and it will tell them the alphabet. Your child will quickly as our did, learning numbers, letters, shapes, colors, objects, and counting and a lot more.

Conclusion
I think that you will have hours of as we did. We laughed as we see the reaction that our grandchildren give when they first hear the voice come out of this colorful box. It is just like having a real talking computer. This can also take a beating, because our grandchildren can hit this and drop this on the ground and it has still kept working. This is the cheapest and most dependable toy computer that you will ever buy. Five stars for durability and workmanship.
