Yet another reason to enjoy Eclipse - the soundtrack!

As an admitted Twilight fan, I was not only enthused to see the latest movie, Eclipse, but also curious about the soundtrack. After reading a couple fellow Lunch reviews on how great the soundtracks were for Twilight and New Moon, I was determined to pay attention to the lyrical influence woven into the latest movie. And I have to say I was surprised by just how much I liked the selection.

After just a quick glance at the tracklist, it is apparent that the people behind the Eclipse soundtrack are really trying to show off a lot of different sounds. While they could have just loaded it with gothic emo fluff, their genre mixing has yielded some solid tracks that even non Twilight fans can surely nod their heads too.

Some stand out tracks include Metric's "Eclipse (All Yours)" (my favorite on the album), Muse's "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)", Fanfarlo's "Atlas", The Black Keys' "Chop and Change", Vampire Weekend's "Jonathan Low", Band of Horses' "Life on Earth" and Cee Lo Green's "What Part of Forever". Save for a few throw away songs, it appears that this is yet another solid CD from the Twilight masterminds and sure to be a hit.

Tracklist:

Metric - "Eclipse (All Yours)"
Muse - "Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)"
The Bravery - "Ours"
Florence, The Machine - "Heavy in Your Arms"
Sia - "My Love"
Fanfarlo - "Atlas"
The Black Keys - "Chop and Change"
The Dead Weather - "Rolling in Our Burning Fire"
Beck & Bat For Lashes - "Let's Get Lost"
Vampire Weekend - "Jonathan Low"
Unkle - "With You in My Head"
Eastern Conference Champions - "A Million Miles an Hour"
Band of Horses - "Life on Earth"
Cee Lo Green - "What Part of Forever"
Howard Shore - "Jacob's Theme"
