After i read this series for the first time i could see why these books became so popular so quickly. The love story being told is really one of the best that has been written for the young adult genre in many years. I am so very tired of hearing about the Twilight series. I read them to see what the hype was about and I was not impressed. They are targeted at the teens and tweens who are already confused about how relationships are supposed to work. This makes it even worse, giving them high expectations. My little sister even told me about a girl who broke up with her boyfriend because "he wasn't enough like Edward". Nice.
