A Quick Tip by Shopaholic

I was a bit hesitant about trying another iPad screen protector since all the other brands have failed me. However, the Targus Screen Protector by far is the the best I have tried. First thing I noticed was the thickness and sturdiness of the protector screen. The texture of the matte finish also is unique and different. Installation was quite easy. I cleaned the surface of my iPad with the enclosed cloth like paper. Once I verified there were no particles on the surface, I peeled back one corner of the adhesive film and aligned the sheet to the corner of my iPad. As you peel back the film use your other hand the squeegee out air bubbles with the enclosed card. I have to admit the air bubbles were easy to remove. There were a few tiny air bubbles since air particles still got left behind on the iPad. I decided to peel back the screen protector and carefully took a piece of scotch tape to remove the particles. That worked on the particle air bubbles but there were a couple tiny ones I decided to leave behind since I really can't see them when the iPad is in use.

The matte finish is pretty much finger print resistant, you really have to look closely to see the printer prints or smudges. My nails are pretty long and I can see more scratch lines of my nails than finger prints. Needless to say, the smudges are easy to wipe clean. The texture of the surface takes some getting use to but I really do like it. Because of the matte finish it feels like there is friction, but my fingers easily swipe across the screen. It does make a strange scratchy noise if you are swiping your fingers quickly across playing games like HD Fruit Ninja.

In regards to the anti-glare, it is not really glare resistant. Instead of the mirrored finish you see from the glass, you see a cloudy fuzzy reflection.

Even though it is not anti-glare proof as it states, overall excellent product and by far the BEST iPad screen protector I have tried!

Good But NOT Bubble-Free!
The Targus Screen Protector is a sturdy matte-finished plastic screen protector that cuts down on reflections and makes fingerprints less noticeable. When fingerprints do appear they are easily wiped off. Functionality isn't hampered and if anything, viewing angle and text readability seem slightly better. Some faint scratches have appeared on the protector, but at least I have peace of mind knowing the actual iPad screen is being protected. The film looks a little cloudy when the iPad is turned …
