This is simply a gorgeous hotel in Sacramento, reflecting a large investment, with a highly attentive staff. The Grange Restaurant, this Sacramento hotel's restaurant, features "slow food" (see the Grange's chef's blog). The Citizen Hotel's blog is here. The hotel reminds me very much of the Concourse hotel in Madison, WI (being so close to that state's capital building) -- I love the Concourse (just rennovated, folks).

What I recommend, with the Citizen hotel, is to make sure that you eat at The Grange. Take a look at the Grange's blog and you'll get the idea.
