Vegan.
Quite likely the best vegan replacement for beef. Tastes excellent in tacos, in quesadillas, or as side dish with nachos. Also makes a mean taco salad!
What did you think of this list?
As for Amy's, I've heard about her brand, but I don't think I've ever seen any of her products around here.
As for the mac and cheese, I usually cook it in a skillet because most boxed mac and cheese mixes come out kind of watery, so I boil the pasta and drain it, then mix the pasta and sauce together in a skillet and let it fry on low heat until the sauce thickens to perfection. MMMmmm, now I'm hungry thinking about it.
I believe the bottle I got was about 3 to 5 oz and around $6. I got it at Whole Foods. Make sure the one you get doesn't have any weird ingredients in it like unsavory preservatives, etc.
As for the liquid smoke, will do. I don't know how many stores around here would even carry it so may choices may be limited as to whether I can get organic or not. I'll keep my fingers crossed though.
I'm not sure if you're on twitter or not, but if you are, you might appreciate @Aprilee76's list of veggie tweeps!
