Since writing my first list of vegan and vegetarian products that I've tried, I've been fortunate to sample quite a few others. Here are some of the best. I've made sure to specify which products are vegan and which are just veggie. If you have any that you recommend, be sure to let me know!
This is easily the best tempeh that I've tried so far and it is great in this vegan bacon recipe. Also, if you marinate in in the right spices and use the right ratio of liquid smoke and soy sauce, you can create a yummy steak flavor.
Oh, I was never much of beef eater, but I had forgotten just how delicious a home-made meatloaf. Plus, it's great in vegetarian shepherd's pie and on pizza.
I've never been the biggest ice cream fan, even before I went veggie I'd only maybe have it once or twice a year. Good thing too, because the vegan replacement is not less fattening. But, wow, is it tasty. Try this with some chocolate chips and granola on top. Divine!
Interesting. I've tried a few of these products. Maybe not the same brand, but similar. My favorite dairy-free ice cream would have to be the Turtle Mountain products. I've seen the Naked Coconut at the store before, so I'll definitely give a try next time I'm there. Oh, I ordered some of those coconut vegan marshmallows, and after a while, the coconut became too much. I won't be desiring anything coconut for a while :)

I love coconut. I put shredded coconut in cookies and in oatmeal. I do want to try those marshmallows too. How did they melt and what was the texture and consistency like?

I didn't try melting or roasting them, but since the vanilla vegan marshmallows roasted very well, the coconut probably roasts just as well. The consistency is also similar to the vanilla ones. I like to put them into the refrigerator for a while, because I find the texture to be more like a traditional marshmallow after doing so.
