Great choices there! It's funny to think of Danny Boyle directing SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE when you lok at his other films! The only one on your list that I might be iffy about would be Ritchie, but that's just personal taste. At the top of my list would be John Sayles who obviously issn't on yours at all.
Nice list, though one of the top three on mine would have to be Akira Kurosawa. If I were forced to only watch films by one director (or team, as it were), though, I'd have to pick the Coen Brothers.
Amazing! A faorite directors list that has Tarantino and Scorsese and NO Kevin Smith! Smith's alright but I think he's only made one GOOD movie in Clerks.
Nice list! I agree with a lot of the ones you mentioned. Have seen a few of Kar Wai Wong & Chan-wook Park's Oldboy but I'd be interested in checking out their other works. Good job bro!

Thanks! With regards to Chan-wook Park, I cannot recommend Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance highly enough. It's bleak but fantastic.
I'll check that out sometime. Have you seen his latest one called Thirst? I'm still counting the days til that hits DVD as the locla multiplexes around here wouldn't take it. Keep up the good work man!

Thank goodness! I read Woopak's review here & it sounds amazing. It's definitely a different direction but I'mquite sure Thirst is worth the investment. I am going to purchase my own copy I think.
So it's come to this... a favorite Directors List, eh? I watch movies... a lot. I love them, and when doing so you tend to get a feel for certain directors … more
