We all know the drill...we usually look back at the closing year to see if there are things that we can improve on or things that can continue on in the New Year. 2009 was a very colorful and eventful year, and I look forward to see what is in store for 2010. Anyway, I thought I'd share some of my resolutions...
I may see this movie on dvd as rental just so I can rip it apart. But a wise friend of mine said "we vote with our money so if we see garbage then Hollywood may think we like garbage". Sometimes, I get curious what the fuss is all about with this maintream phenomena, the first movie was so bad...really bad!
See the full review, "This Film is SUCKAGE...But it Doesn't Even Suck Blood!".
I need to eat more fruit! I eat a lot of avocado, mangoes and grapes but sadly I haven't really gotten into the whole fruit thing! My goal is to consume more apples and strawberries...heck I'll fly to Hawaii to get a ton of Pineapple! Fruit rules!
Ok, I love veggies but I do wish that they're a part of my diet more often! It is hard for a guy who lives and cooks for himself and prep a two course meal can get pretty hard..I just eat whatever is available! I intend to change this soon!
I need to make a schedule on checking out more Lunchers and write more non-movie reviews. Maybe share some bits about my personal philosophies but usually when I do this, people tend to re-think their beliefs or they get freaked out. Yes, Woopak is one complex individual...be afraid be very afraid. LOL
See the full review, "Be Afraid... Be very Afraid...Bwahahaha!!!!!".
I know how to cook a lot of Filipino dishes, even some Vietnamese, Japanese and Korean dishes but Thai cooking is something I haven't tried. Yes, that's right, I know how to cook; I find it a great therapy when you are stressed out and frustrated. Better than getting upset and punching a wall...damages to the home can get expensive! LOL
Been ages since I practiced this art. I need to go back to my roots, I know I always try but ultimately I fail to follow through. If only work doesn't get in the way, but then again, I need to make a living...
I've managed to stay away from fast food in 2008 for the most part. I do have a whopper or a six-dollar burger from time-to-time but not very often. Maybe once every 3-4 months. I try to cook more and if I can't, I eat real food.
I usually skip breakfast in the morning and it is rare when I do have a good, healthy breakfast meal to begin my day. My schedule can get so tight that I just don't have time, coffee just starts my day. But Breakfast in the morning is the most improtant meal. Hey, I do have breakfast for dinner LOL!
Need to clean this up and pay more attention to my real friends. Too many fake friends out there who just try to get an advantage...I intend to get rid of bad friendships.
See the full review, "A Friend in Need is a Friend Indeed?".
I will try to make use of an efficient time table! I need to make great use of my time; at work, relationships and I guess more Lunch.com time?! Time management is important.

O man, I seriously need to make a list because I haven't done one in years.....
Good review, William! I haven't made a New Years resolution list in years and don't intend to start now. I did enjoy reading yours however. One thing I have done, (and have gotten used to ) is to make resolutions as I go along in the year. If I want to start or stop something I make up my mind and just do it cold turkey......that way I'm not always looking at some list that's long been put away in a stack of buried papers somewhere. This works for me and may work for you as well, as the good intentions are still there but the pressure is off. Several years ago after reading an article on good nutrition, I made up my mind to eat 5 helpings of fruit and veggies a day-then I went to work on it. As far as friends go.....yes, stick with only the good ones that are there for you....ones who make you feel comfortable about who you are, where you're going and all your accomplishments. Good friends, indeed, are the true delights of life!

hey, that's a great idea! I will most definitely try that. as for friends, I am sticking to my oldest, tested friends. I am a pretty generous guy so some folks tend to see it as 'gullible'. Thanks for the read, Donna!
Great list! I'm with you on the whole voting dib for Hollywood movies. That's why I rarely go to the movies anymore & prefer to wait for DVD or cable on the vast majority of new releases. Yeh, I def think you should kick a few fairweather friends to the curb. Never settle for any friends that don't compliment your own great personality. Life's too damned short for that. As for New Year's resolutions of my own, I DON'T MAKE THEM. I hardly ever keep even a fraction of them & I'm too old to convince myself otherwise. I resolve to exist another year as my microreview suggests. Good job Woopak!
woopak_the_thrillDecember 26, 2009
Ceno, I've already began to kick them out this Christmas; I fully intend to put my full attention to my oldest and dearest friends! You guys are much better buds than my 'fair-weather friends' though I haven't met most of you in person...Take care, Brian!
cenobite7December 29, 2009
Same to you! It sounds like you're already practicing what you preach. Only hoping I can sincerely do the same thing. Thnks for the compliment. I confide that I do feel the same man.
Is it New Year's already? And you don't have to write less movie reviews to write about other things....just lose another hour of sleep if you need to. Hehe.
Awesome, Woo! I didn't even realize that a lot of these were food-related till @Sharrie pointed it out. There's nothing unnormal about food in my world! ;P I'm actually with you on most of these, especially #4 and extra especially #12! ;D
woopak_the_thrillDecember 23, 2009
FOOD RULES!! How about # 9? as for # 12, Karen says that we may have to resort to torture. LOL!
devoraDecember 23, 2009
Of course I'm down for #9. Always! :D
In regards to #12, I'm too small to twist his arm. So I'll just watch you do it! ;P
Great list Woopak! You should make a checklist and see how many you can keep. As for the karate, you just need some space (or go to a park) and just practice your forms at least 1-2 times a week until you can find a club you can latch onto.
woopak_the_thrillDecember 22, 2009
Thanks, Michael! I'll try to keep all of them, I did pull off #8 for 5 straight years now. There's a gym in the place I live but I do get shy about practicing my stuff in public. Hopefully by February, I can do better with the Karate bit once I move to my bigger luxurious apartment! Happy Holidays!
Thanks Woopak! Actually, talking to you about Karate made me write a review about my style, Shotokan. Maybe what I wrote will help inspire you to practice your own art more!
woopak_the_thrillDecember 22, 2009
I just checked it out and it certainly has! Thank you!
QUEENBFLIXDecember 22, 2009
My daughter just got back into TKD recently and if she can do it at her age, (which she would kill me for divulging, so I won't) anyone can.
MichaelNDecember 23, 2009
You should read my Shotokan review and let her read it too. Then she will practice her Tae Kwan Do hard.
Again, obsessing over my rage against the waffle. Okay, good luck with that. Like I said, it will take some very sophisticated interviewing techniques to get that out of me. ; )
woopak_the_thrillDecember 22, 2009
can't help it, man. I am going to get a bounty out for that info..LOL!
QUEENBFLIXDecember 22, 2009
I t5hink it may take advanced torture techniques because I don't think we're going to trick him into telling us.
Hehehe, half of those on your list are FOOD related. It's no wonder what they said is true... the way to a man's heart is through his stomach! ;-) My my, time management is last on the list?! Funny indeed! :D
woopak_the_thrillDecember 22, 2009
I think the food thing goes both ways...my GF and even my ex-wife loved it when I cook their favorites! Yes, I am so busy that I need to make a more organized and better time planning...this site is just addicting and cramping my style ! LOL
I didn't really plan on making this list but why not. I've got a few moments on my hand & it's time to reflect on the closing year before the new one … more
I haven't made any resolution for more than a decade at the least. Why? Because I've a habit of breaking them so I became cynical and lazy. It's a decade … more
By the way, I hate ample syrup too... especially ample amounts of it. LOL!
In regards to #12, I'm too small to twist his arm. So I'll just watch you do it! ;P
