Lazar Kaganovich was almost like the Soviet Union's equivalent to Nazi Germany's Heinrich Himmler.  Just like how Himmler was responsible for engineering and carrying out the Holocaust, Kaganovich carried out Stalin's ruthless collectivized farming policies in Ukraine that caused the Holodomor, a genocidal famine that killed at least 7 million Ukrainians in 1932-33.

While Himmler was eventually captured by Allied forces and committed suicide to avoid trial and execution in World War 2, Kaganovich was never punished or even pursued with charges for his crimes, and died at the ripe old age of 97 in Moscow in 1991.

It's people like Kaganovich that make me wish I can believe that there's an afterlife because he deserves to suffer in unimaginable ways for all eternity.

On a sidenote, anyone reading this and trying to use the fact that Kaganovich was Jewish as justification to hate all Jews, call the Holocaust a myth, or say that those who died in the Holocaust deserved it can go piss on a set of electric railroad tracks.  You're not honoring the Holodomor victims by hating the Jews, you're just flaunting racism and biggotry.  The Soviet Union wasn't a paradise for Jews, contrary what many YouTube anti-Semites will want you to think (read the top comments on YouTube for any video about the Holodomor, nearly all of them reek of anti-Semitism).  Everybody from every religious and ethnic background suffered during Stalin's rule, including the Jews.
