WWE re-introduces Vengeance after a 4 year hiatus and it was definitely a welcoming treat. Not at all because I missed Vengeance itself, hell, they could have called it Capital Combat for all I care. The point is we needed a break from all the gimmick events. Vengeance had a good enough card coming in, the event was hyped up well enough, and it did its job in delivering a filler show.
WWE Tag Team Championship
1- Dolph Ziggler & Jack Swagger vs. Air Boom (Kofi Kingston & Evan Bourne) [Champions]
These teams have met a bunch of times up to now, too many to be honest, still, they somehow managed to get a little better and deliver a solid opening bout. It was quick paced almost the entire time with some good tag team cohesion. Ziggler is just awesome in the way he sells his beatings, and he takes the sickest looking monkey flip from Kingston I've seen in a very long time. The high spots had entertaining moments with Swagger catching guys in mid flight, plus I never get tired of seeing Evan Bourne pulling off Airborne. I have to give some credit to the commentary here too, Ziggler's US title is on the line in the very next match whether he wins here or not, and you actually forget it at one point because they focus on the match a little bit more. Good job there. 3.5/5
US Championship
2-Dolph Ziggler [Champion] vs. Zack Ryder
This match almost guaranteed a new champion, since Ziggler took such a beating in the previous bout, plus Ryder came into this bout with victories over him. It could have easily been a squash, but thankfully it lasted a little longer than expected. This match did more for Ziggler's credibility if anything, by having to compete at such a disadvantage. The story came down to how big of a mistake Ryder could get away with. Ryder went straight for quick pins, and it was a good back and forth, but there really wasn't a question on what the outcome would be, fortunately, the ending was actually believable. 3.25/5
Divas Championship
3-Beth Phoenix [Champion] vs. Eve
Glad to see something different here, with Beth having to take on Eve, in what I actually thought would have been better than Beth's feud with Kelly Kelly. This began pretty sluggish, but would eventually become interesting. They worked a good match with Beth locking Eve up in submissions and throwing the bad mouth on her. The power game came into play with Beth muscling her way to the ropes to break Eve's then submissions. There were some close near-falls and good spots; overall, decent for a women's bout. 3.25/5
4- Sheamus vs. Christian
Not a bad match for a small event like this but I really did expect more. Christian and Sheamus have some good chemistry, and the story here was pretty interesting with Christian slapping Sheamus in the face, to break his momentum and concentration as well as exert energy by breaking pins almost immediately. Sheamus used a lot of rough offense as usual, plus he countered Christian in mid-air with the old Scott Hall fall away slam. Christian hit with some decent high flying and he got the crowd into things. One thing that I have to point out though, I never bought into Edge using the spear move because of his size, Christian even less since he's smaller. I really wish he would quit doing it because it's just not believable at all. That's Goldberg's move, and to me, he will always be the living embodiment of "Fear the Spear". 3.5/5
5- CM Punk & Triple H vs. R-Truth & Miz
Look out for the backstage segment featuring R-Truth & Miz, it is funny as hell. Now on to this match. This started out giving the crowd exactly what they wanted to see, and that was Triple H and Punk dismantling these two, and that's exactly what happened. They took turns tearing them apart with illegal submission assist and heavy offense. The momentum would shift, and it would later become too formulaic for my taste with the face taking the beating to heat up the crowd for that hot tag. This wasn't really the back & forth I was looking for. Later, the match became very predictable and this would only be meant to put over a story. In the end, the right team won and they needed that victory too. 3.75/5
Intercontinental Championship
6- Cody Rhodes [Champion] vs. Randy Orton
This was a non title bout, so you already knew what was happening here. Therefore, I wasn't expecting any surprises, only a good match. Orton was seriously overpowering the much smaller Rhodes. It later moved at a steady pace and turned into a good back & forth, with a beautiful drop kick counter from Orton plus a punishing backdrop. Cody would pull out one of the best top rope moonsaults I've seen in awhile. The predictable interference would come into play but it really didn't hurt the match. 3.5/5
World Heavyweight Championship
7- Mark Henry [Champion] vs. Big Show
There was a time I would come into a match like this with a planned bathroom break, because you just knew you were getting a slow, sluggish, and boring match. That was until this year, after Mark Henry was repackaged into a serious monster heel, and Big Show can be good if he wants to. Thankfully, they went well together here and this was a very good super-heavyweight match. Watching the 441 pound Big Show, being big-manned slammed never gets old, because you will swear he's going straight through the ring. They mixed up with some good offense and strong slams, like Henry taking a top rope choke-slam. The ending was just awesome and it was a great way to push this rivalry. Even though it was seen that before, I think it had more of an impact with these two. Match of the Night for me. 3.75/5
Last Man Standing Match for WWE Championship
8-Alberto Del Rio [Champion] vs. John Cena
*Rules - The match is over when one or both superstars cannot make it to their feet by the ten count*
After the ending to the last match, which left the entire ring literally destroyed. I was curious how this would play out with no ring ropes or turnbuckles. Honestly, I was bored for a very long time. I thought since there was practically no ring, we would be getting more high risk and fights in the stands. Instead, they traded offense through some strikes here and there. There were some good moments later on though, such as Rodriguez getting involved and probably started wishing he was a woman. Later, they would go backstage and beat each other around, crash through tables and use the ring steps as a weapon. What bothered me the most, is the same with all Cena matches; he just has to be made out like Superman and it's just stale and boring. Plus I really didn't like the ending either. For a Last Man Standing Match, this was one of the least interesting ones I've ever seen. 3.5/5
Almost every match is around average and there's nothing I would come close to saying is classic. Still, it's worth a rental at least.
Pros:
-WHC Match and everything is watchable
Cons:
-And that's the problem... watchable, nothing close to classic

Vickie isn't bad, she can draw heat and that's what counts. And she will take a bump too. I hope Ziggler is pushed further in the future. He's come a long way from that sissy-ass Spirit Squad thing.
Yeah that's true about Kong, but she was there for a little while and I don't believe that was the issue at the time.
