Cons: Graphics are dark making it hard to see what you are doing in level
The Bottom Line: Okay if you are okay with dark tinted graphics that make it hard to see what you are doing in game.
I have been a fan of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles since I was little. I remember really enjoying playing the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game for Gamecube, so when I noticed there was a new game with them for the Wii I decided to try it out. I found the game to be just as fun, although the graphics seem worse. It is not that the graphic quality is worse, but rather I found that they graphics were really dark and I had a hard time being able to see the features of the levels (i.e. the path you need to follow) in several parts of the first few levels. It is not my television because all other things appear fine, but rather these graphics are just too dark. I realize that some of these levels are set at night or in the sewers where it is expected to be dark, but I really wish the graphics were not so dark. I ended up giving up after a few levels because it was just too annoying not being able to really see the level environment. The part I did play was fun besides this. I like how you attack by shaking the nunchuck or Wiimote. As you play you unlock mini games that you can play in the extras section. I found the one mini games I did unlock was fun and the graphics were not dark. In the mini game I unlocked you shake the nunchuck to throw spikes and attack the bad guys before they attack you. I think this game could be a lot of fun if the graphics in the levels were not too dark and maybe they are not in later levels, but I did not have the patience to try to discern the path in the dark graphic early levels.

Based on the CG animated movie produced by Imagi Animation Studios and based on Mirage Studios' Foot Clan-kicking Turtle heroes. The movie derives its tone from the original comic-book series and is grittier than the previous live action pictures, so expect the games to follow suit.
