Pros: Really neat; Entertaining; Gives the impression that you're actually flying through space

Cons: Usually a long line; I always get a little headache after riding this one

This is a ride located in MGM Studios, right by the MuppetVision theater. The line is usually quite long, so I recommend that you obtain a fast pass, then go watch MuppetVision. By the time Muppetvision is over, you can use your fast pass to get on the ride. That's what Dionne25 and I did when we went.

After you walk through the line which is decorated with all sorts of things from Star Wars (including C3P0 and other droids), you are separated into groups. As you are separated, you line up in rows for your space pod. While in line, you watch a short pre-show (narrated by an actress that really looks like Gladys Knight) on the video screens above the doors. Your Star Tours attendant will then escort you into your pod, make sure you're safely seated and strapped in, and leave.

A little robot droid (voiced by Paul Reubens, also known as Pee Wee Herman)pilots your space craft to the planet Endor (Ooh! Ewoks!) while our old friend R2D2 navigates. Unfortunately, this is he pilots first flight, and he seems to have a little trouble!

Since you are in a flight simulator, looking at a movie in front of you, you truly feel that you are in a comet shower and fighting Vader's Storm Troopers. You even get to fly the memorable scene in Star Wars: A New Hope, where Luke blows up the Death Star.

It really is a fun ride, which can be enjoyed by all ages. (There might be a height restriction, though.) There's a lot of jolting and such, so you might not want to ride it if you've just eaten. And, it's really loud, so be sure you have some Advil handy!
