Mayer Hawthorne Pillow

I LOVE music, vinyl, DJing...I love spending hours in Amoeba or dusty basements digging through tons of vinyl, hoping to find a long forgotten gem hidden and neglected in the sales bins. I first found MandyBoBandy's pillows on Facebook. I saw her picture on a friend's wall and fell in love with the pillows.

I went to her blog and read about how she was trying to raise money to get to New York for a Hip Hop Educational Conference- it was an honor that I was envious of, to talk about how to use hip hop for education and to help build up our future. I also love win-win situations and this one reeked of being one of those.

Classy Broad Pillow

For $60 a piece they may seem a bit pricey but, they are handmade; hand sewn felt pieces over pillow filling and they are a decent size, big enough to not get lost in the pillows on your couch, small enough to be considered a throw/decorative pillow. I bought both the Classy Broad and the Mayer Hawthorne pillows and sent Mandy a check for $125 ($5 shipping). As soon as she received the check, she sent the pillows to me. Not once did I doubt her validity or the fact that she would send her product, she was in constant contact with me. I even got back to her in time to take the Classy Broad from Mayer Hawthorne lol! Thank GOODNESS! Before they were mailed to me, I was feeling a bit of buyer's remorse. I had just lost my second job and the holidays were coming up. Two days later, I received them in the mail and all of that just melted away. Now, I have a unique, customized pillow to spruce up my beige couches that show my love for music and personality.
