McCafferty's Jessica Darling series is by turns heart-breaking, hilarious, poignant -- and always realistic. I haven't found a couple I fell more in love with over the course of a series than I did with Jessica and Marcus, and McCafferty's writing is impeccable. Love her!
Lahiri's writing is just about as flawless as it gets. The Namesake and Interpreter of Maladies, which won her the Pulitzer Prize, are life affirming -- and life altering.
Foer's novel Everything Is Illuminated forced to me rethink my definition of a "conventional" novel, and his stunning Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close shook me to my core. A true talent!
