I used to think I was a pretty impartial reader, but I'm learning now that's not entirely the case. In fact, I know and love my favorites -- and now I'm sharing them with you!

Megan McCafferty
McCafferty's Jessica Darling series is by turns heart-breaking, hilarious, poignant -- and always realistic. I haven't found a couple I fell more in love with over the course of a series than I did with Jessica and Marcus, and McCafferty's writing is impeccable. Love her!

Meg Cabot
Whether writing for teens or adults, Cabot's sense of humor and spot-on take on modern life make her books relatable and fun.

Jhumpa Lahiri
Lahiri's writing is just about as flawless as it gets. The Namesake and Interpreter of Maladies, which won her the Pulitzer Prize, are life affirming -- and life altering.

Jennifer Weiner
Weiner is totally the queen of chick lit! I love her fresh, funky writing which always has a ton of heart at its core.

Jonathan Safran Foer
Foer's novel Everything Is Illuminated forced to me rethink my definition of a "conventional" novel, and his stunning Extremely Loud And Incredibly Close shook me to my core. A true talent!
